Advertising and Public Relations

Advertising is impersonal, one-way communication about a product or organization that is paid for by a marketer. There are several types of advertising wich are Institution advertising, Product advertising, Advocacy advertising, and pioneering advertising. Ethics in the Nba

In 2004 the Indiana Pacers and the Detroit Pistons had a huge brawl and it was a disgrace to the sport of basketball. The brawl started because of lack of class between both teams and also fans. The sport of basketball is suppose to be fun for the players and  for the fans to come out and watch. When situations like this happen it takes away the point of having fun and enjoying yourself. After this brawl occurred the NBA came up with guidelines for the arena and the fans. The Guidelines included more security, alcohol sales and a new fan code of conduct. The NBA fan code of conduct expected standards for all fans attending NBA games. Guests who fail to follow these standards will be ejected and a possibility to take away season tickets.

The NBA Lockout

The NBA Lockout is on without an agreement in sight, and training camp less than 5 weeks away. The league and union leaders are still talking and pledging to remain constructive for the time ahead. This lockout is happening because the players Association and the NBA owners have an agreement over how players are payed. This agreement is expiring so at the players and the owners are struggling to come up with a new agreement because the owners want to pay the players less, and of course the players won't have it. If they can't reach an agreement, the NBA won't run until they do so this is called a Lockout.

Do you know What's going on in the Nba as of today ?

In response to commissioner David Stern the league lost about $370 million last season. On July 15 NBA union Billy Hunter said " I'm preparing for a lockout right now and I haven't seen anything to change that notion. Hopefully I'll see something over the next several month."
